Monday afternoon was so pretty I thought I would take Jackson outside and take some pictures while Sara Catherine was asleep. He had a hard time being still but liked playing around in the leaves. He didn't mind me taking some pics as long as I promised he could go see if Cooper was home when I was done! In school they are talking a lot about fall and thanksgiving. Every time he sees an orange or red tree, he yells, " Look, it's fall!". His Indian Pow-Wow is tomorrow at school. Jackson's Indian name is Brave Eagle. He thinks that is just the coolest thing ever!

Storytime with Ross
We had a fun time yesterday at storytime at the library. Sara Catherine was ready to go the "library store" for a story. Storytime was about Ross, a precious dog with only 3 legs who actually belongs to an employee of the library. The stories were about dogs and the owner also told the story of Ross and why he only has 3 legs. It started out a sad story but ended up great because now Ross is healthy and happy and plays just like any other dog would. Sara Catherine loved Ross and talked about him for the rest of the day. She couldn't stop talking about the dog with " 1-2-3" legs. She had to count them each time she told the story. We had lots of fun. Enjoy the pics of Sara Catherine on her library outing and finding her new friend, Ross.
Veterans/Grandparents Day
Today was Veterans/Grandparents Day at Jackson's school. Pawpaw and Pawpaw Ernie were able to make it. Jackson was so excited that both his grandpas came to see him at school!! There was a nice ceremony honoring veterans and grandparents in the high school gym ( my dad is standing in one of the photos as the students honored Air Force Veterans), then visiting the classrooms. Jackson got to show the pawpaws his artwork, sing some songs, and show them around the centers. It was a fun morning! Sara Catherine also had a blast. She spent the entire time at the home living center pretending to cook while talking on the phone ( I don't know where in the world she could have learned that!- ha ha!). Thanks Pawpaw and Pawpaw Ernie for coming to the special day!

Well I got a little help this morning so maybe I know a little bit more about what I'm doing. Sara Catherine is supposed to be upstairs taking a nap, but I'm pretty sure she has snuck into the playroom. And my sweet little Jackson is taking a rest quietly on the couch like I asked him to. How different can 2 kids be? I think Sara Cate is trying to wean herself off of naps!! Pray for me! I know she is almost 3 but I REALLY need her to take that nap. This morning I found her on the porch with no pants on ( it was really cold) playing with sidewalk chalk with Maggie. She never ceases to amaze me.
